After dealing with a bad case of sciatica for several weeks a friend suggested that I see a chiropractor.  I have always been reluctant to go to Chiropractors in the past, but was desperate and decided to take a chance.  As luck would have it I found Dr. Joe on Yelp.  After my first visit I immediately started feeling relief.  Dr. Joe truly cares about his patients and is always up-beat and enthusiastic when you see him.  It beams through him that he really loves what he does.  The clinic has a great vibe and all of the staff have been awesome!  Scheduling is very convenient and they are always prompt at getting me in.  They have also been really patient with me as I tend to be a little ADD with appointments.  Two thumbs up!  I would definatly refer any of my friend or family to them!

Every once in a while we are lucky enough to come across great people that will forever change your life. For me it was the day I came across Dr. Joe and his wonderful staff at Good Vibrations Chiropractic. After suffering endless nights of back pain, headaches and anxiety attacks caused by a very unfortunate car accident, I felt like I was trapped in a never-ending nightmare of physical and emotional distress. I was a bit weary in the beginning about how and if chiropractic healing was the answer that my body needed. But from the day that I had my initial visit with Dr. Joe, I knew I had made the right decision and had come to the right place. I have received adjustments for almost a year now, and I have not suffered a single headache the way I used to a year ago, my anxiety has drastically decreased and I am now able to be physically active and mobile. GERD is Gone!!
My son suffered from GERD from the age of 3 months. He spit up non-stop for months. It was very difficult for him as well as my husband and me. He was constantly fussy because he was uncomfortable and could never feel satisfied after eating. We tried medications suggested by the pediatrician but we weren’t comfortable giving medication to a baby so young and they simply weren’t helpful.
When he was 5 1/2 months old I found research suggesting chiropractic care could be helpful. After researching doctors throughout San Diego County we decided to try Dr. Joe at Good Vibrations Family Chiropractic.
Our first visit was a very positive experience. I feel Dr. Joe and his staff answered all of our questions and provided me with more than adequate information to understand what was likely going on with my sons system. I came to Good Vibrations Chiropractic after living with back and neck pain (whiplash) from a fender bender for a over a year. At first I wasn’t sure what to expect from chiropractic adjustments but was willing to try anything after these nagging back/neck injuries.
A couple of months after I began the chiropractic treatment I noticed the pain subsiding. After six months it was gone. Now after a year of getting adjustments my back has become stronger than it was before my accident.
As for the office itself, the place is very serene, unlike a doctor’s office. Everyone greets you with a smile and helps you to feel welcome.

Fresh, Urban San Diego Chiropractor!
First off…the office looked completely different than I expected. It has a fresh urban-ish design. I loved that! The music was vibey and the garden is refreshing. Amazing Chiropractic Results!
I first started seeing Dr. Joe Merlo at Good Vibrations Chiropractic because of a surfing injury in college that never completely healed. Over the years I had tried everything to get it to go away: the trainer at school, massage therapy, my regular doctor and even acupuncture (and I truly hate needles). Everything seemed to help a bit, but nothing got down to the root of the problem to make the pain go away for good. Every time I would go surfing the same muscle group in my neck would seize up and I would return to the beach defeated and have a stiff neck for a week or so….sometimes longer. It got to the point that I felt like not surfing might be the answer….but that was not the solution I was looking for.
I met Joe through my business networking group and decided to give chiropractic a shot. I have been amazed at the results! After a few months of visiting his office three times a week I could tell there was significant improvement in the muscle group that had been acting up, and surfing was not causing any more problems. Incredible Chiropractic Care!
About 9 years ago I was diagnosed with a herniated disc & degenerative disc disease. I was in weekly Physical Therapy, taking 800 mg of Naprosyn daily and getting a series of 3 epidural injections annually. All of these measures provided little to no long lasting relief from the pain I was in. To compound this problem, I was in a major car accident about 3 1/2 years ago that left me with chronic pain in my upper back and neck. I stuck to my conservative walk/run plan, and it worked! I finished the last 3.1 Mile (5K) in 25:12, which wasn’t too shabby considering I was being careful!

Amazing Chiropractic Experience!
I’ve only been adjusted by Dr. Joe for about a month now but it didn’t even take that long to see the results from the great work of this chiropractor. I was not in much pain when I began visiting Good Vibrations Chiropractic but I was hoping to improve my athletic abilities and help alleviate pain in my shins that would come from running often. My running times, which have not changed in about 4 months, have improved by about 13 seconds per mile and I no longer have the shin pains.
